Chapter 8

A month or so had passed without conflict from either couple. Jamison was spoiling Simplicity like never before. She couldn’t contain her happiness when he was around. Jamison had even flown her out to Arizona once a week when he had to be there for a game or meetings.

Since her due date was only a week and a half away, she prayed day in and out that Centayo or Darren wasn’t the father of her unborn son. Shit, Jamison was all she ever dreamt of. She even told Centayo not to worry about the money he promised. Jamison would be her happy ending.

Simplicity was still secretly seeing Darren when Jamison wasn’t around or in her free time. It wasn’t like it was before with him. The thrill was definitely gone…

The past two weeks Simplicity had been ignoring all of Darren’s calls since her and Jamison were doing so good. She didn’t want to risk the chance of messing shit up with Jamison, because Darren’s ass could act a fool.

Even though the relationship between Lee’Shay and Simplicity was still on the rocks, it seemed to be improving day by day. They were able to work together again and for both girls it was a good feeling. Simplicity was feeling just like she was when they first opened the company.

“Baby, come down here,” Jamison yelled up to Simplicity causing her thoughts to disappear.

“Ugh, What do you want baby? I swear I don’t feel like getting out of bed,” she huffed pulling the blanket up to her neck.

“Just come down here girl,” he urged.

“Here I come!” she yelled as she set her bowl of popcorn on the bedside table then rolled out of the bed.

“Hurry up you big ass baby,” he clowned when he saw her appear at the top of the stairs.

“Shut the hell up! Are you trying to call me a fat ass on the low nigga?” she pouted.

“No baby, just hurry up.”

“Dammit Jamison, I’m trying to come as fast as I can.”

Simplicity wobbled down the steps as fast as she could. When she reached the lower platform, Jamison grabbed her hand and led her to the front door.

“Okay close your eyes,” he requested.

“What the hell Jamison, why do I need to cover my eyes?”

“Please baby, just listen to me.”

After a small debate Simplicity allowed him to cover her eyes. Jamison opened the front door.

“Okay baby here you go,” Jamison said removing his hand from her face.

Simplicity stood in awe as hot tears graced her face. “Jamison baby, are you serious? This is for me?” she quizzed waddling off out the door not waiting for a reply.

Jamison had a brand new ‘2015’ Range Rover sitting in the driveway with a large oversized orange bow resting on the top. He chose not to put the traditional red bow on top because he knew that her favorite color would be more special for her.

“Baby, this is all yours, the papers with your name on it is in the glove box. I can’t have you driving our son around in that damn Corvette, all cramped up and shit,” he clowned.
